NerdWallet wanted to position its YouTube channel as THE best place to find friendly financial expertise. To attract audiences, we needed to make finance entertaining, and entertainment trustworthy.

Got a mind for money?

NerdWallet asked us to build YouTube ads to promote their venture into the world of short-form video content—Reality Check: A Financial Quiz Show. Each Episode, Finance nerd Nikita Turk would team up with another money master to answer questions that were on every aspiring middle-class person's mind. The Trivia format provided a fun entry point to discuss everything from buying a home to racking up travel points.

We poured through hours of content and meticulously weaved together four snappy promos. To showcase the Nerd’s knowledge and relatability, we married moments of humor with moments of practical wisdom. To rent or to buy, what a question!?

Guardrails

Money matters are no joke. So, we had to be very clear that while the Nerds are experts, they are not giving viewers financial advice. Instead, they summarize trends, provide macro analysis, and offer observations. Keeping the tone light and collegial reminded viewers that this was entertainment, not advice.
